Level Best PD Series

The PD Series is compatible with skid steer loaders and compact track loaders. It is purpose-built for the push-pull directional work style of skid steers and is not a design compromise intended to serve both skid steers and tractors.

Like all Level Best attachments, the PD Series achieves grades within 0.1 inches — one-tenth of an inch — of specification.

The PD Series is designed, fabricated, and assembled in New Holland, Pennsylvania. Level Best is DEKRA certified as part of the ATI Group.

The PD Series is available in three widths: the PD72 at 72 inches weighing 2,020 lbs, the PD84 at 84 inches weighing 2,070 lbs, and the PD96 at 96 inches weighing 2,155 lbs.

The PD Series requires auxiliary hydraulics on the host machine. It also requires the loader to be equipped with a case drain — a third hydraulic line. Operating the PD Series without a case drain will result in catastrophic valve damage. Verify your machine's hydraulic configuration before purchase.

Yes. A case drain — the loader's third hydraulic line — is required to run the PD Series. This is a hard requirement, not optional. Machines without a case drain are not compatible with the PD Series.

The PD Series is built around the natural push-pull directional movement of skid steer loaders. This allows operators to spread and grade material in both forward and reverse, maximizing production efficiency and eliminating the need to reposition the machine between passes.

The PD Series uses a unique frame design that accounts for the short wheelbase of skid steer loaders. This frame, combined with an oscillating front axle, stabilizes operation and eliminates the bounce effect that makes grading difficult on standard attachments.

The PD Series uses two hydraulic cylinders to achieve cross-slope operation, allowing the blade to maintain or produce a consistent grade across the full width of the attachment even on angled or sloped surfaces.

The PD Series includes two 1-1/2 inch diameter mast poles — one on each side of the attachment — for mounting grade control receivers. This dual mast configuration supports 3D grade control systems, allowing the attachment to automatically read and adjust to precise grade specifications.

The PD Series system reads the grade and makes automatic adjustments dozens of times per second, delivering smooth, highly accurate results even on complex contoured surfaces.

The PD Series is compatible with GPS, total stations, sonic technology, and horizontal laser systems combined with satellite vertical reference. It has been used with Trimble GCS900, Leica iCon, and other leading grade control platforms.

Yes. A rear cutting edge is standard on all PD Series models. Combined with the reversible cutting edge on all sides of the blade, this gives the PD Series cutting capability in multiple directions and extends overall blade service life.

The PD Series features a reversible cutting edge on all sides of the grading box. When one edge wears, it can be flipped or rotated to expose a fresh cutting surface, significantly extending the life of the blade before replacement is needed.
